Dr. Joanna Busquets is board-certified in Dermatology. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of dermatological medical conditions, skin cancer, and cosmetic dermatology.

 

Dr. Busquets holds a bachelor's degree from Yale University. She completed her medical studies at Ponce School of Medicine where she graduated with honors for academic excellence. She completed her residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.

 

Dr. Busquets was a postdoctoral research fellow at the prestigious Scleroderma Center program at Thomas Jefferson University where she was awarded a Supplemental Research Grant to conduct research focused on the pathogenesis of systemic sclerosis (scleroderma).

 

He has been dedicated to treating both adult and pediatric patients with a wide variety of dermatologic conditions. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He has published several peer-reviewed journal articles and has written chapters in dermatology textbooks.

 

After practicing for three years as a dermatologist in Tampa, FLA, she decided to return to Puerto Rico to establish her private practice near her family and contribute to the island's medicine.
