Surgeon Antonio Busquets is the first Puerto Rican to graduate from Emory University's Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery program, one of the most distinguished and world-renowned programs in the nation.

 

Dr. Busquets was trained by the world's most renowned plastic surgeons such as Dr. Josh Jurkeiwicz, considered the Father of Plastic Surgery in the United States, Dr. T. Roderic Hester, inventor of the endoscopic facial technique "Mid Face Lift", Dr. Foad Nahal, President of the "American Society of Aesthetics Plastic Surgery" and author of multiple books, Dr. Clinton D. McCord, founder of the Society of Oculopastic Surgery in the United States, among others. Dr. Busquets was the Chief Resident in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

 

Antonio Busquets earned his bachelor's degree in Human Biology at Stanford University in California. He studied medicine and practiced general surgery at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus. He has published several research articles and won first place at the Rafucchi Research Forum. He revalidated his Plastic and General Surgery degree, becoming "Double Board Certified in Plastic & General Surgery." Dr. Busquets works in private practice and donates part of his time to various philanthropic missions in Puerto Rico, El Salvador, the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
